סיני (זיגפריד) אוּקוֹ (Sinai (Siegfried) Ucko;‏ 7 בנובמבר 1905 – 10 באוגוסט 1976) היה פילוסוף של החינוך, פרופסור לחינוך באוניברסיטת תל אביב ומייסד החוג למדעי החינוך באוניברסיטה זו.

תולדות חייו

נולד בשנת 1905 בשם זיגפריד אוקו בעיר גלַייביץ שבפרובינציית שלזיה, גרמניה (כיום גְּליבִיצָה, בדרום פולין), בנם של אלזה לבית וייסנברג ונתן אוקו, שניהם ילידי שלזיה עילית. למד באוניברסיטאות וינה וברסלאו ובבית המדרש לרבנים בברסלאו וכיהן כרב במנהיים ובאופנבורג. בשנת 1929 קיבל את תואר הדוקטור מאוניברסיטת קניגסברג (כותרת הדיסרטציה: "מושג האלוהים בפילוסופיה של הרמן כהן").

בשנת 1935, לאחר עליית הנאצים לשלטון, עלה לארץ ישראל עם רעייתו ובתו בעקבות אחיו גדעון אוקו (שמשנת 1934 היה חבר קיבוץ נען ולימים מראשוני קולנועני הקיבוצים). בארץ עבד בין היתר בכפר ילדים ונוער אהבה ובעליית הנוער. לאחר האנשלוס (סיפוח אוסטריה לגרמניה הנאצית ב-1938) נשלח לווינה על מנת להציל ילדים יהודים ולטפל בהעלאתם לארץ-ישראל.[1] לימד בבית הספר המחוזי ע"ש רוזה כהן בגבעת השלושה ובבית המדרש למורים הסמוך אליו (סמינר שיין), שאותו גם ניהל החל משנת 1951.

בשנת 1945 היה יוזמו של הרבעון הפילוסופי "עיון" וכיהן בו כחבר מערכת עד מותו.[2]

ב-1951 ראה אור ספרו "על האושר והטוב: שיעורים ראשונים בפילוסופיה", שעסק, לפי המבוא לספר, ב"סוגיות סבוכות וחשובות במעשה החינוכי ובהלכה חינוכית כאחד, כגון: חינוך ותעמולה, חינוך וכפייה, בעיות תורשה וסביבה, החירות והאוטונומיה המוסרית, פדגוגיה ופוליטיקה, המחנך והחברה, לימודי הטבע התוכנית החינוכית, חינוך לנימוסים ועוד".

מאז 1956 היה מרצה לחינוך. תחילה באוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים, ולאחר מכן ייסד את החוג למדעי החינוך והמחלקה לפדגוגיה באוניברסיטת תל אביב ועמד בראשם עד מותו.

חיים אישיים

בשנת 1931 נישא אוקו לרות לב (Loew;‏ 1909–1967), ילידת ברסלאו. אחרי מותה נישא בנישואים שניים לרות רנאטה לבית אוּלמן (נולדה ב-1921 בגרמניה). היה אב לשתיים: אלישבע איתן ודינה גולדינג.

סיני אוקו נפטר ב-1976, בגיל 71. נקבר בקיבוץ נען לצד אשתו הראשונה.[3]
