Vultures 2 הוא אלבום האולפן השני של סופרגרופ ההיפ הופ האמריקאי ¥$, המורכב מהראפרים האמריקאים קניה וסט וטיי דולה סיין. האלבום יצא לאור ב-3 באוגוסט 2024, על ידי חברת התקליטים העצמאית של וסט YZY. האלבום כולל הופעות אורח ללא קרדיט של דון טוליבר, פלייבוי קרטי, קודאק בלאק, ליל דורק, פיוצ'ר, ליל ויין, בנותיו של וסט, נורת' ושיקגו וסט, צ'ארלי וילסון, יאנג ת'אג, 070 שייק וליל בייבי. זהו האלבום השני מטרילוגיית Vultures והמשך ל-Vultures 1.

רקע ופיתוח

ב-23 בינואר 2024, הכריזו וסט וטיי דולה סיין ברשתות החברתיות שלהם כי יוציאו את Vultures כטרילוגיה, כשהראשונה תצא לאור בפברואר, השנייה ב-8 במרץ, והשלישי והאחרון ב-5 באפריל.[1] החלק הראשון, שיצא ב-10 בפברואר, נתקל באיחור קל והמשיך להגיע למקום הראשון במצעד בילבורד 200 כמו גם במדינות רבות אחרות.[2] ב-15 בפברואר, בפוסט באינסטגרם המופנה למעריצי טיילור סוויפט, אשר איימו למנוע מהשיר "Carnival" להגיע לראש המצעדים, חשף וסט כי ליל ויין עתיד להשתתף באלבומו השני של הצמד, ולהזכיר את בן זוגה, טרוויס קלסי.[3] ב-25 בפברואר, חשף המפיק טימבלנד, שעבד גם על Vultures 1, שהפרק השני של האלבום "בדרך".[4] ב-3 במרץ, הודיע הראפר פרנץ' מונטנה על מעורבותו ושיתף קליפ שלו ושל הצמד באולפן ההקלטות.[5] לאחר שהאלבום לא יצא בתאריך היציאה המתוכנן שלו ב-8 במרץ, וסט הודיע שהאלבום עדיין בעבודות כיוון שהוא טיי דולה סיין עדיין "במעבדה".[6][7] וסט וטיי דולה סיין ערכו מסיבת האזנה פרטית בתאריך המתוכנן עם תפאורה של די ג'יי, שם הצטרפה לראפר בת זוגו ביאנקה סנסורי.[8] ב-10 במרץ, וסט אמר באינסטגרם שהוא ימכור את אלבומו Vultures 2 באתר Yeezy תמורת 20 דולר במקום להוציא אותו בפלטפורמות סטרימינג כמו Vultures 1. הוא הצהיר שההחלטה התקבלה כך ש"לא יהיו לנו חברות הסטרימינג בשליטה על האמן יותר".[9]

ב-14 במרץ, הציגו הצמד הצצה של דקה אחת לרצועות Vultures 2 אשר הועלו בטיקטוק ובאינסטגרם תחת החשבון של וסט.[10]

ב-2 באוגוסט, יצא הסינגל הראשון מתוך האלבום, "Slide", וב-3 באוגוסט הושמע האלבום בבכורה ביוטיוב, ומיד לאחר מכן יצא לאור.

עטיפת האלבום

ב-9 במרץ הכריזו וסט וטיי דולה סיין על האלבום וחשפו את העטיפה שלו ברשתות החברתיות שלהם.[11] העטיפה מציגה את טיי דולה סיין רעול פנים לבוש בשחור כולו אוחז בתמונה של אחיו, ג'בראל "ביג TC" מוחמד, המרצה כעת מאסר עולם על רצח שלטענתו לא ביצע.[12]
