טירת מנדרלי (באירית: Caisleán Mhanderley), לשעבר "טירת ויקטוריה" (באנגלית: Victoria Castle) ו"טירת איישה" (באנגלית: Ayesha Castle), היא אחוזה אירית גדולה בעלת שינות שנבנתה בסגנון ויקטוריאני, בקיליני, מחוז דן לירי-ראת'דאון, אירלנד. הטירה בבעלות הזמרת האירית אניה.

מראה

מגג הצריח של הטירה, אפשר לצפות מעבר לחוף האירי עד מזרחה לוויילס. מעבר לכך, הטירה מוקפת ב-14,000 מטרים רבועים של גנים המרכיבים יחד יער גדול ממדים. מנהרה "סודית" בתחתית הגן העניקה במקור גישה לחוף קיליני, אך היא נסגרה במרוצת השנים.[1]

היסטוריה

השופט רוברט וורן בנה את טירת ויקטוריה בשנת 1840,[2][3][4] כדי להנציח את עלייתה של המלכה ויקטוריה לכס המלכות. פנים הטירה נהרס בשרפה בשנת 1928, ולאחר מכן שוחזר על ידי סר תומאס פאוור ממשפחת מזקקות הוויסקי. הוא שינה את שמה של הטירה ל"טירת איישה", על שם האלה שעלתה מהלהבות ברומן "היא" מאת הנרי ריידר הגרד. בשנת 1995 החליטה משפחת איילמר להפוך את טירת איישה למקום "מעורר עניין תיירותי".[5] כתוצאה מכך, הוקמה "גלריית האורווה", ומספר אמנים הציגו את תמונותיהם ויצירותיהם שם.[6]

המוזיקאית האירית אניה רכשה את הטירה ב-1997 תמורת 3.8 מיליון אירו, לפי הדיווחים; מייקל פלאטלי התעניין גם הוא בעניין רכישת הטירה. בהתבסס על התעניינותה ב"רבקה" מאת דפנה דה מוריאה, שינתה אניה את שמה של הטירה ל"מנדרלי". זאת, בהשראת הבית הבדיוני הממלא תפקיד מרכזי ברומן מ-1938.

אבטחה

בשל איומים מצד פורצים, אניה חיזקה את אבטחת הטירה, התקינה שערי כניסה חדשים מעץ מלא, ושכרה אדריכלים שבנו קיר אבן בגובה 2.7 מטרים (9 רגל), ומעקות באורך 1.2 מטרים (4 רגל) בחלקים מסוימים מהקיר.[7] על אף השינויים, באמצע אוגוסט 2005, אירעו שתי פרצות אבטחה נפרדות בעת שאניה הייתה בטירה (מערכת האבטחה שלה כוללת חדר פאניקה).[8]
