אוצר האכרים למשכנתאות

אוצר האכרים למשכנתאות היה גוף פיננסי שהיה קשור להתאחדות האיכרים.

כבר בראשית שנות ה-20 עלתה בהתאחדות האיכרים ההצעה להקים בנק[1], שיספק הלוואות בריבית נמוכה לאיכרים. באמצע 1934 מונה עמנואל מול לתפקיד מנהל מייסד של בנק האיכרים ובאוקטובר 1934 התקיים כנס יסוד של בנק האכרים, בו השתתפו, בין השאר, חיים אריאב, צבי נחמיה בוטקובסקי, אברהם שפירא, שלמה יצחק שטמפפר. הקמת הבנק מומנה ממכירת מניותיו לאיכרים, שנדרשו לקנות מניות בחצי לא"י לכל דונם[2][3]. בשנת 1940 שונה שם הבנק ל"אוצר האכרים למשכנתאות"[4].

לאחר הקמת המדינה פעלו ראשי הבנק להרחיב את פעילותו בגיוס כספים בארצות הברית[5], בהרחבת האשראי[6] ובהרחבת פעילויותיו לכלל הפעילויות הבנקאיות[7][8]. אולם אוצר האכרים היה רשום כחברה ולא כבנק, דבר שהביא לחיכוך עם הפיקוח על הבנקים. בשנת 1962 הומר "אוצר האכרים למשכנתאות" ל"בנק אוצר האכרים למשכנתאות" והוקמה שותפות בינו ובין בנק זרובבל, שרכש 50% ממניות הבנק[9], אליו הועברו פעולות שלא נגעו למשכנתאות[10]. בשנת 1969 בעקבות מכירת בנק זרובבל לבנק הלוואה וחסכון, פורקה השותפות[11] והבנק נסגר[12].
