Vesa Hämes

Vesa Juhani Hämes (16. joulukuuta 1956 Helsinki – 11. maaliskuuta 2024 Helsinki)[1][2] oli suomalainen näyttelijä ja teatteriohjaaja. Hämes opiskeli Helsingin yliopistossa 1976–1978 ja American Academy of Dramatic Arts -oppilaitoksessa ja Wynn Handmanin studiolla New Yorkissa 1979–1982.[3]

Hämes sai opintojen jälkeen kiinnityksen New Yorkin Shadowlands-teatteriin vuosiksi 1985–1987. Palattuaan Suomeen hän teki Lappeenrannan kaupunginteatterissa muun muassa Nickin roolin näytelmässä Kuka pelkää Virginia Woolfia?, jonka hän myös ohjasi. Kokkolan kaupunginteatterissa hän näytteli 1996–1999 ja Rovaniemen Teatterissa 2000–2002. Hämes myös suomensi joitakin näytelmiä[4][3].

Hämes vieraili muutamissa televisiosarjoissa, kuten Kotikatu, Kylmäverisesti sinun, Käenpesä,lähde? Irtiottoja ja Salatut elämät. Lisäksi hän oli ääninäyttelijänä monissa piirrossarjoissa, kuten Transformers: Energon ja He-Man.[5] Hämes näytteli vuosina 2000–2001 Salatut elämät -draamasarjassa Pekka Lehtistä.

Hämeksen isä oli näyttelijä Ekke Hämäläinen ja äiti näyttelijä Hilkka Kinnunen.[6]

Hämes on haudattu Malmin hautausmaalle Helsinkiin.[7]
