Misoginia (grezieratik μισογυνία; ‘emakumeei gorrotoa’) emakumeen eta nesken aurkako gorroto edo mespretxua. Era askotan azaldu daiteke: emakumeen aurkako biolentzia, diskriminazioa, emakumea sexualki objektu moduan erabiltzea, ahalmen gutxiko izaki bezala azaltzea...[1][2] Erlijio gehienek eta mendebaldeko intelektual askok ideologia hau sustatu dute.[1][3]

Definizioa

Feminismo Unizar-ek honela definitzen du misoginia:Grekeratik dator, miseo=gorroto eta gyne=emakume. Misoginia kontzeptu barnean bi dimentsio topa ditzakegu: batetik, gorrotoa, mespretsua eta higuina emakumearekiko eta berarekin eta emakumeen munduarekin zerikusia duen guztiarekiko, gaitz guztien erredunak kontsideratuz (Pandoraren mitoa) zein gizonen tentazio handien iturritzat hartuz. Beste aldetik, misoginiaren bigarren dimentsioan emakumea kokatzen da soil-soilik sufritzen duen emakumeen rolean, gizonen otsein/neskame gisa edo ugaltzerako tresna bakuna bezala. Kasu hauetan gizon misogino batek emakume batekin bizitzea onartzen du baina beti beraren gainean dagoela adieraziz eta emakumearen sufrimenduarekin gozatuz.[4]

Ildo beretik jarraitzen du Francisco Cervantes Islas-ek“ Gizon misoginoa emakumeekiko higuina (arbuioa, ez onartzea) duen subjetu gisa deskribatzen dut, baina aldi berean beraiengandik onurak ateratzen ditu, gehienetan materialak. Halaber, diskurtso atsegina izan dezake eta gizon onen itxura izan, arrazional eta ulergarri gisa agertu, berriz, lehenago edo geroago, emakumeena txikiagotzeko zein kanporatzeko jarrerak plazaratzen ditu.”[5]

Misoginia erlijioetan

Munduko erlijio ia guztiek misoginia ezartzen dute. Esaterako, Biblian, gizakien sufrimendu guztiak emakume baten ekintza batean oinarritzen dira, hau da, emakumeak fruitu debekatua jan zuenean eta gizonari gauza bera egiteko gonbidapena egin zionean.
