Augusto León Barandiarán Peruko idazle folklorista [1] [2] eta medikua izan zen.

Biografia

Lambayequen jaio zen 1895eko abuztuaren 4an eta 1950eko uztailaren 30ean hil zen. Augusto F. León Paredesen (1866-1927), Lambayeque-ko diputatua 1901-1912 eta Diputatuen Ganberako presidenteordea 1908an, eta Margarita Barandiarán Niño Ladrón de Guevararen (1867-1961) semea. José León Barandiarán abokatu eta juristaren anaia zen. Leonor Herrera de la Quintanarekin ezkondu zen, Luis León Herrera [3] abokatu eta idazlearen, José Antonio León Herrera, Augusto, Leonor eta Carlos filosofo, unibertsitate irakasle eta orientalistaren aita izan zen.

San José de Chiclayo kolegio nazionalean ikasi zuen eta gero San Markoseko Unibertsitate Nazional Nagusian (UNMSM) graduatu zen hortz zirujau titulua lortuz (1917). Chiclayon Peruko Errepublikaren independentziaren lehen mendeurrena (1921) ospatzeko "Canto a España" batekin ospatutako lore jokoekin ohoratu zuten. Praktika profesionala ez ezik, kultura herrikoia ikertzera dedikatu zen. Hainbat liburutan bere sorterriaren kondairak eta tradizioak. Bere lanen artean "A golpe de Arpa" [4] [5] (1934) bezalako liburuak aurki ditzakegu, idazleek Chiclayori mendeurrenagatik egindako omenaldia, Rómulo Paredes Gonzales Chiclayoko kazetari eta idazlearekin batera idatzitakoa [6] (1877 -1961); "Mitos, leyendas y tradiciones lambayecanas" [7] [8] (1938) [9], "La Guerra de Balta" (1949), José Balta koronelak Chiclayon hasi zuen iraultzaren kronika.
