Luzaideko Buruxuri etxean jaio zen 1930ean; zortzi neba-arrebaren artean hirugarrena zen. Beti herri horretan bizi izan zen. Hainbat lanetan aritu zen: artzain, unai eta zurgile, besteak beste.[5]
Herriari buruz idazteaz gain, kazetari lanak egin zituen Irulegiko irratian (Nafarroa Beherea; urte luzez Luzaideko berriemailea zen), Irati irratian (Aezkoa) eta Euskalerria irratian (Iruñerria).
Ohorezko euskaltzain izendatu zuten 2014an, hizkuntzaren alde egindako lana zela-eta.
