Franco VENTURI (Romo, 1914 - Torino, 14a de Decembro, 1994) estis itala historiisto, eseisto kaj ĵurnalisto, fakulo pri la Klerismo en Italio kaj pri la historio de Rusio, kaj aktivulo de Kontraŭfaŝismo en la Itala kontraŭnazia rezistmovado.

Li studis en Parizo, kie li kontaktis kun aliaj kontraŭfaŝistoj. Post la okupacio de Parizo fare de Nazia Germanio, la familio translokiĝis al Novjorko, kaj kiam li klopodis same fari estis malliberigita en la Frankisma Hispanio, kiu post unu jaro transdonis lin al Italio. Tie li estis malliberigita en Avigliano inter 1941 kaj 1943.[1]

Fine de la 1940-aj jaroj li laboris en la itala ambasadejo de Moskvo, kio ebligis al li studojn pri rusa kulturo. Reveninte al Italio li estis profesoro en la Universitato de Cagliari kaj de Ĝenovo en la 1950-aj jaroj kaj poste en la Universitato de Torino ĝis la 1980-aj jaroj.
