Ara Ŝiraz (armene: Արա Շիրազ , n. la 8-an de junio 1941 - m. la 18-an de marto 2014) estis armena skulptisto. Lia patrino kaj patro estis la poetoj Silva Kaputikjan kaj Hovhannes Ŝiraz.

Biografio

Ara Ŝiraz naskiĝis kiel Aramazd Karapetjan (armene: Արամազդ Կարապետյան ) en Erevano en 1941. Li studentiĝis ĉe la Erevana Teatro kaj Instituto de Belartoj en 1966. Li partoprenis multajn ekspoziciojn pri junaj artistoj en Armenio kaj Sovetunio. De 1968 ĝis sia morto en 2014 li estis membro de la Artista Unio de Armenio. Liaj verkoj estis ekspoziciitaj en ĉefaj urboj de Sovetunio (Moskvo, Leningrado, Tbiliso) kadre de solaj kaj grupaj spektakloj. Li partoprenis la Festivalon de Armena Arto "De Urartu ĝis la Nuntempo" (Parizo, 1970). Ŝiraz karakteriziĝas per siaj monumentaj skulptaj artaĵoj.

En 1979 Ŝiraz ricevis la Ŝtatan Premion de Armenio pro siaj ornamaj skulptaĵoj ornamantaj la fasadon de la hotelo Dvin en Erevano. En 1977 li ricevis la titolon Multmerita Artisto de Armenio. En 1987 li estis elektita kiel prezidanto de la Artista Unio de Armenio, kaj membro de la Sekretariejo de la Artista Unio de Sovetunio.

En 2017, liaj verkoj estis montritaj ĉe la Nacia Galerio de Armenio en la ekspozicio "Ara Ŝiraz: Retrospektivo"[1].
