Alo (slava mitologio)

Por vilaĝanoj alo estis spirito, kiu kondukis hajlon kaj ŝtormnubojn al iliaj kampoj, ruinigante ilian rikolton.

Alo (ankaŭ — Ĥalo; serbe, montenegre, bulgare kaj makedone "(х)ала") en la mitologio de la balkanaj slavoj estas ina (plejofte — malica) spirito, fluganta serpento (drako), kiu voras rikolton kaj atakas brutojn kaj homojn.[1]

Imago

Alo estas imagata diverse:

  1. kiel atmosferan fenomenon (venton, nubon, nebulon, kometon);
  2. kiel animalon (drakon, flugantan serpenton, lacertegon, aglon, korvaron ktp.);
  3. kiel malgrasan gluteman homon.[2]

Popolaj kredoj

Oni kredas, ke alo ruinigas (voras) rikolton en kampoj (aperante kiel hajla nubo aŭ ĝia kondukanto). Oni ankaŭ opinias, ke alo estas la kialo de subitaj malsanoj (paralizo, mensa malsano ktp.). En iuj tradicioj aloj estas defendantoj de siaj teritorioj — ili batalas en aero kontraŭ aliaj aloj pro la rikolto de la vilaĝo, kiun ili gardas. En Kruŝevacka regiono (orienta Serbio) oni kredas, ke alo defendas la kampojn kaj vinberĝardenojn de la tuta regiono kontraŭ hajlo, kaj petis Dion, ke li gardu "nian defendanton — alon".[3]
