Matt's BBQ is a barbecue restaurant in Portland, Oregon's Boise neighborhood, in the United States.[1]

Sibling restaurant Matt's BBQ Tacos, also located in Portland,[2] opened in 2019.

History

In 2015, Matt Vicedomini opened his first food cart on Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.[3][4]

Matt's BBQ and its sibling restaurant Matt's BBQ Tacos closed temporarily in March 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic.[5] Limited operations were restored in April.[6][7]

In 2021, Matt's BBQ confirmed plans to expand into Beaverton, Oregon.[8][9]

Matt's BBQ Tacos

The sibling restaurant Matt's BBQ Tacos opened the 2019.[10][11] The menu includes breakfast tacos.[12] Matt's BBQ Tacos initially operated as a food cart and relocated to Northeast Alberta Street. It began operating as a brick and mortar restaurant in November 2022.[13][14][15]

Matt's BBQ Tacos was named The Oregonian's 2019 Cart of the Year,[16] and was featured on the Netflix series Street Food in 2022.[17]

Reception

In 2017, Martin Cizmar of Willamette Week wrote, "Fact: Matt's BBQ Has the Best Brisket and Ribs in Portland".[18]
