The bowl game will be sponsored by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, and the game will be officially known as the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.

The game will feature 2 winners of the college football playoff quarterfinals and the winner will advance to the 2025 College Football Playoff National Championship game and will face the winner of the 2025 Orange Bowl.
