Erimetopus ist eine Gattung der Krabben-Familie Potamonautidae mit zwei Arten.[1] Die Süßwasserkrabben kommen im Kongobecken in der Republik Kongo und der Demokratischen Republik Kongo vor.[2]

Merkmale

Die Gattung hat die Merkmale der Potamonautinae. Der vordere Seitenrand ist zwischen dem Exorbitalzahn und dem Epibranchialzahn gezahnt. Der Innenrand des Carpus der Scherenbeine ist mit zwei großen spitzen Zähnen bewehrt, der Außenrand mit zwei oder drei Zähnen. Carpus und Propodus der Schreitbeine tragen an den Rändern Dornen. Die Ränder ihrer Meri sind entweder glatt oder spärlich beborstet. Das Endglied des ersten Gonopodiums ist schlank, verjüngt sich und ist nicht durch Lappen erweitert.[2]
