Country Music Association Awards
Die Country Music Association Awards („CMA Awards“) werden jährlich von der Country Music Association (CMA) verliehen. Es werden die erfolgreichsten Country-Interpreten und -Songwriter des abgelaufenen Jahres ausgezeichnet, der begehrteste Preis ist der für den „Entertainer of the Year“.
Mit Ausnahme des Jahres 2005, als die Verleihung im Madison Square Garden in New York stattfand, werden die Awards im Spätherbst jedes Jahres in Nashville vergeben. Seit 1968 wird die CMA Award Show landesweit im Fernsehen übertragen. 1991 war mit George Bush erstmals ein amtierender US-Präsident zu Gast.
