Otó I de Borgonya (o Otó I de Hohenstaufen) (1170- 1200) fill de l'emperador germànic Frederic Barba-roja (casa de Hohenstaufen) i de l'emperadriu consort i comtessa suo jure Beatriu I de Borgonya. Va ser comte palatí de Borgonya i comte de Luxemburg.

Biografia

El 1165 va néixer el seu germà gran i futur emperador Enric IV. El mateix Otó va néixer uns cinc anys després, el 1170. El seu pare Frederic Barba-roja va morir el 1190 i Enric IV el va succeir com emperador mentre Otó va rebre el comtat de Borgonya. El 1191 va tenir a la seva filla gran Joana I de Borgonya (1191-1205) i el 1193 a la segona filla Beatriu II de Borgonya (1193-1231).

El 14 d'agost de 1196 va morir el comte Enric IV de Luxemburg sense hereu mascle, i el comtat va passar a l'emperador Enric IV que el va cedir al seu germà Otó.

Otó fou assassinat el 13 de gener de 1200 a Besançon. Fou enterrat a la cripta de la Catedral de Saint-Jean de Besançon. Ermesinda I de Luxemburg (filla del comte Enric IV de Luxemburg) es va casar amb el comte Tibald I de Bar i va negociar amb l'emperador la successió del comtat de Luxemburg. Joana I de Borgonya va succeir al seu pare com a comtessa de Borgonya a l'edat de 9 anys però va morir amb 14 anys el 2005 i la va succeir la seva germana Beatriu II de Borgonya junt amb el seu espòs, el comte Otó I d'Andechs i Merània, fill de Bertold IV de Diessen, comte d'Andechs i duc de Merània, i d'Agnès de Baixa Lusàcia).

Matrimoni i fills

El 1190 Otó es va casar amb Margarida de Blois (1170-1230), filla del comte Teobald V de Blois i de Chartres i d'Alix de França (filla del rei Lluís VII de França). Van tenir dos fills:
