Saint Paul ye la capital del estáu de Minnesota, nos Estaos Xuníos. Tamién ye, colos sos 307.695 habitantes (U.S. Census Bureau, 2018), la segunda ciudá más grande del estáu. La ciudá ye la sede alministrativa del condáu de Ramsey, el más pequeñu y más densamente pobláu de Minnesota. La ciudá asiéntase na oriella izquierda, la oriental, del ríu Mississippi na rodiada del llugar aú s'axunta col ríu Minnesota, y ta pegada a Minneapolis, la mayor ciudá del estáu. El conxuntu de les dos, conocíu como les Twin Cities (ciudaes ximielgues), forma'l nucleu del área metropolitana de Minneapolis-St. Paul, que ye la decimosesta mayor del país con alredor de 3,6 millones d'habitantes.
