Hi RAJIVVASUDEV, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. However, you should consider adding relevant wikiproject talk-page templates, stub-tags and categories to new articles that you create if you aren't already in the habit of doing so, since your articles will no longer be systematically checked by other editors (User:Evad37/rater and User:SD0001/StubSorter.js are useful scripts which can help). Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Barkeep49 (talk) 15:56, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Textile shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. You may want to try WP:BRD to resolve your problem here. Open a talk page section to show why the disputed section is justified in that position. Thanks. - Roxy thedog11:39, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

WP:FIXTHEPROBLEM Great Wikipedia articles come from a succession of editors' efforts. Rather than remove imperfect content outright, fix problems if you can. WP:ATD If editing can improve the page, this should be done rather than deleting the page. And I am trying to do that only. RV (talk) 17:44, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This topic will never be a "great" Wikipedia article, as it has no WP:MEDRS sources, nor will it within the next decade or longer. Please stop trying to make more of a poorly-researched, poorly-sourced topic by synthesizing your own interpretation. Zefr (talk) 18:12, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You are right that this topic will never evolve, especially when nobody wants it to. You are stopping the fixing of it and reverting edits [like this]. Please enlighten us as to how this particular edit is poor, off-topic, self-interpreted, and synthesized when there is a source. The information provided by the source is what it is, and your personal dislike of it does not hold any significance WP:VerifiabilityRV (talk) 05:52, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This is what the text in source reads: "The hope of dramatically extending our lifespan has captivated humanity for millennia. Over the last two decades, the biology of aging has matured as a field of study and led to greater engagement and investment in aging as a biological problem that can be understood at the molecular level." And when the article says For thousands of years, mankind has been fascinated by the aspiration of prolonging human lifespan. In recent years, significant advancements in the study of aging biology have led to increased investment in comprehending the molecular mechanisms involved in aging.[1][2][3]. Thanks RV (talk) 08:07, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The quote you provided above (from the Vijg ref) explains the issue: you are cherry-picking statements about studying aging biology to infer relevance to the topic of "fasting and longevity" which - by definition in the article title - have to be linked in sources used. None of the sources you give here addresses that linkage. There are no WP:MEDRS sources in the current medical literature that address that linkage because such studies have not been undertaken yet. See my comment on the article talk page about the US National Institute on Aging: if the experts have not yet begun to study calorie restriction and aging mechanisms, then there are no sources to use for the article. Zefr (talk) 17:59, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your contributions to the article Fasting and longevity. The editor Zefr has been reverting you and sending you warnings. Zefr has done the same to me and other editors who attempted to edit the article. I have prepared an ANI report and I will hold it in abeyance. Please tell me if the disruptive editing continues. DYK for Echte Wagner
On 9 September 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Echte Wagner, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that an album of collectible cards from the German margarine brand Echte Wagner in 1930 presented a vision of the future that incorporated concepts such as wireless personal phones with screens? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Echte Wagner Margarine. Hi RV! (I borrowed that abbreviation from your signature, hope it's okay ☺️). My name is Chelsea, or Chiselinccc on here, and I stumbled across some of your recent work on interesting articles. First of all, thanks for that, and for all you clearly contribute to DYK!
I wanted to offer my help, if it's not weird, to do some copyediting when needed. You see, I've been an English-language editor for 20 years now, and I find refining other people's copy very relaxing 😅 Being somewhat new to participating in Wikipedia, I'm still looking for places to contribute in a positive way.
I noticed that you have a great deal of awesome content you contribute and refine, but some of the phrasing can turn out a little different from standard encyclopedic language. I hope this doesn't offend- you clearly speak and write at a high level of proficiency, English can just be weird and complicated. I only speak one other language, German, and I've been told by native speakers I sound a bit like a little kid because I don't have all the noun genders memorized, so you're way ahead of me on that!
Since you are often focused, from what I can see, on getting good DYK content submitted, and the reviewers for that take grammar and writing style into consideration, I thought it might be helpful to make the following offer:
You can ping me via username, or post a link on my talk page, when you've got new content pretty close to finished, but before you submit for things like DYK. That way, the process of review will go more quickly as a "first set of eyes" will have passed through already! (I'm sure I'll miss mistakes too, but as I'm unfamiliar with the topics you write about, I think I'll be a good "test subject" that it all makes sense to the layperson.)
This is just a friendly offer, and if you're not interested, no worries! I'm a bit nervous to create content of my own, and you seem so driven and focused, that I felt like it could be a good match-up. I am in the Guild of Copy Editors, but the requests posted there are often huge articles which are overly technical and would require a lot of work. At present, I'm still mostly editing from mobile, and the posts you contribute would be downright fun to review and give a first pass in terms of wider readability outside of technical expertise.
I hope you take this as the friendly, team-focused offer I intend, and again, no worries if you're uninterested in utilizing my peer review skills! Thanks for your work and have a great day.
Awesome RV, glad to collaborate! You're my first true "wiki-friend," lol! I'm in an American time zone (Las Vegas) but often up in the nighttime too- if I receive pings or messages from you regarding new text, I'll respond when I'm online and let you know how quickly I'll be able to review, or in rare instances I'm unavailable, I'll let you know so you aren't waiting on me.
Cheers, and I look forward to working on articles with you!
On 23 October 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Stripping (textiles), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that a fungus called white rot can strip out certain dyes in textiles? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Stripping (textiles). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Stripping (textiles)), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed.
