Punggok atau pungguk[1] (Ninox) adalah nama genus burung hantu yang menyebar luas di Asia dan Australasia. Marga ini terdiri dari sekitar 30 spesies burung hantu tak-bercuping telinga, yakni tidak memiliki susunan bulu yang membentuk cuping telinga, yang khas pada burung hantu. Analisis molekular mengisyaratkan bahwa marga ini merupakan penyusun cabang awal dari nenek moyang burung hantu, dan barangkali lebih tepat ditempatkan dalam subfamili Ninoxinae bersama dengan marga-marga Sceloglaux dan Uroglaux.[2] Nama marga ini pertama kali diberikan oleh seorang naturalis bangsa Inggris, Brian Houghton Hodgson, pada 1837.[3]

Marga Ninox banyak berspesiasi di pulau-pulau yang relatif kecil. Keragaman jenis punggok ini tinggi, misalnya pada wilayah Wallacea dan Filipina.

Pengecualian

Punggok papua (Uroglaux dimorpha) bukan termasuk marga Ninox, melainkan anggota marga Uroglaux yang masih berkerabat dekat dengan Ninox.
