Nabire merupakan sebuah distrik yang terletak di Kabupaten Nabire, Provinsi Papua Tengah, Indonesia. Distrik Nabire memiliki luas wilayah 127,00 km² dengan jumlah penduduk pada tahun 2020 sekitar 101.645 jiwa, dan kepadatan penduduk 80,35 jiwa/km².[2][3] Sementara, ibu kota Distrik Nabire berada di Kelurahan Karang Mulia.

Pembagian administratif

Pemerintahan Distrik Nabire memiliki 13 (tiga belas) kelurahan, terdiri dari 9 Kelurahan dan 10 Kampung berkategori swasembada dan 3 kampung swakarya. Dari 13 kelurahan kampung tersebut terdiri dari 32 rukun warga, 202 rukun tetangga dan 3 dusun.[3]

Demografi

Berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik mencatat adanya keberagaman warga distrik Nabire berdasarkan agama yang dianut. Adapun persentasi agama yang dianut di distrik Nabire yakni pemeluk agama Kekristenan sebanyak 61,45%, dimana Protestan 48,65% dan Katolik 12,80%. Kemudian sebagian besar lainnya beragama Islam yakni 38,20%, dan sebagian lagi memeluk agama Hindu 0,21% dan Budha 0,14%.[2][4] Sementara sarana rumah ibadah, terdapat 130 buah gereja Protestan, kemudian 24 bangunan Masjid dan 21 Musholah, kemudian 3 gedung gereja Katolik dan 1 gedung Pura.[3]
