Jalur Ueno-Tokyo (上野東京ラインcode: ja is deprecated , Ueno–Tōkyō Rain), sebelumnya dikenal sebagai Jalur Pintas Tōhoku (東北縦貫線code: ja is deprecated , Tōhoku-Jūkan-sen),^[2] adalah sebuah jalur kereta api di Tokyo, Jepang, yang dioperasikan oleh East Japan Railway Company (JR East), menghubungkan Stasiun Ueno dan Stasiun Tokyo, memperluas layanan yang ada pada Jalur Utsunomiya, Jalur Takasaki, dan Jalur Joban ke arah selatan hingga mencapai Jalur Utama Tokaido^[2]^[3] dan sebaliknya. Proyek ini dimulai pada 30 Mei 2008.^[4] Jalur ini dibuka bersamaan dengan revisi grafik perjalanan kereta api tanggal 14 Maret 2015,^[5] dengan proyek senilai sekitar JPY40 miliar.^[2]

Perjalanan langsung diharapkan bisa menguraikan kepadatan di Jalur Yamanote dan Jalur Keihin-Tōhoku, dan mengurangi waktu perjalanan dari Ōmiya ke Tokyo sebanyak sekitar 11 menit.^[4]

Rute

Dimulai dari Stasiun Ueno, proyek ini meliputi pemasangan ulang jalur sepanjang 2,5 km^[4] yang dulunya menghubungkan kedua stasiun sampai terputus di dekat Stasiun Kanda untuk memberi ruang bagi perpanjangan jalur Tōhoku Shinkansen hingga mencapai Tokyo.^{[butuh rujukan]} Celah ini dihubungkan kembali dengan dek baru sepanjang 1,3 km^[4] di atas jalan layang Shinkansen yang telah ada sebelumnya dengan sambungan di setiap ujungnya.^[6] Peraturan dibuat selama pembangunan jalur Shinkansen kalau jalur langsung Jalur Tohoku akan dibangun ulang.^[7] JR East membangun fasilitas jalur langsir di Stasiun Shinagawa pada Jalur Tokaido, memungkinkan kereta ysng melewati Ueno untuk berhenti di sana dan kembali ke Utara.^[2]

Layanan

Kereta dari Jalur Utsunomiya, Jalur Joban, dan Jalur Takasaki yang melakukan perjalanan langsung antara Stasiun Ueno dan Tokyo dan melanjutkan perjalanan pada Jalur Tokaido menuju Shinagawa (seluruh kereta yang berangkat dari Jalur Joban berakhir di sini), Yokohama,^[8] Ōfuna, Hiratsuka, Kōzu, Odawara, Atami, Numazu di Jalur Utama Tokaido bagian JR Central serta Itopada [[Jalur Itō. Awalnya, maksimal sebanyak 151Line kereta perjam melewati jalur ini pada jam sibuk pagi hari, meningkat hingga 20 kereta per jam pada tahun 2016.^[9] Layanan cepat terbatas Jalur Joban (Hitachi dan kereta semi cepat Tokiwa) memperpanjang layanan melewati Jalur Ueno-Tokyo, dengan sebagian besar layanan berakhir di Stasiun Shinagawa.^[10]

Saat ini, perjalanan terpanjang yang melalui Jalur Ueno-Tokyo adalah kereta lokal yang melakukan perjalanan antara Stasiun Atami dan Kuroiso. Jarak temluh total adalah 267,9 km dengan waktu perjalanan sekitar 4 jam 50 menit. Kereta ini total melewati 5 prefektur (Shizuoka, Kanagawa, Tōkyō , Saitama, Ibaraki dan Tochigi) ditambah wilayah metropolitan Tokyo.

Sejarah

Jalur Utama Tohoku selalu terhubung dengan Stasiun Tokyo sebelum dan sesudah Perang Dunia II. Meskipun jalur penghubung antara Ueno dan Tokyo pada awalnya hanya dipakai untuk kereta barang pada awalnya,pasukan pendudukan Sekutu menjalankan kereta penumpang dari Stasiun Tokyo melalui Jalur Utama Tohoku setelah Perang Dunia II, dan diikuti sejumlah layanan langsung dari tahun 1950an sampai 1970an. Penghubung antara Ueno dan Tokyo ditutup untuk layanan penumpang pada April 1973, dan layanan barang pada Januari 1983; bagian pada jalur di sekitar Akihabara dan Kanda dibongkar untuk memberi ruang perpanjangan Tohoku Shinkansen menuju Stasiun Tokyo, dengan layanan menuju Tokyo dibuka pada tahun 1991.

Sebuah rekomendasi panel pemerintah pada tahun 2000 menyarankan pembukaan kembali penghubung antara Ueno dan Tokyo pada tahun 2015, dan JR East secara resmi mengumumkan proyek pada 27 Maret 2002.

Proyek ini mendapat dukungan dari banyak pemerintah lokal, terutama yang berada di Prefektur Saitama, Prefektur Ibaraki, dan wilayah lain di utara Tokyo.^{[butuh rujukan]} Namun, penduduk di wilayah sekitar proyek khawatir risiko kemacetan dan gempa bumi, dan mengajukan keberatan kepada pengadilan Tokyo agar dilakukan peninjauan ulang terhadap pembangunan tahun 2007.^[11] Tuntutan tersebut dicabut tahun 2012.

Proyek ini pada awalnya direncanakan selesai pada tahun fiskal 2013, tapi penyelesaiannya tertunda karena gempa bumi dan tsunami Tōhoku 2011.^[9]

Masa depan

Pada bulan Januari 2014, presiden JR East Tetsuro Tomita menyatakan bahwa perusahaan sedang mempertimbangkan menghubungkan Jalur Ueno–Tokyo di masa depan dengan jalur akses langsung ke Bandar Udara Internasional Haneda.^[12] Meskipun ada diskusi jalur ini diselesaikan Olimpiade 2020, rencana ini dibatalkan pada tahun 2015.^[13]
