Chōchin-obake (bahasa Jepang Kanji: 提灯お化け, Hiragana: ちょうちんおばけ, secara harfiah berarti "hantu lentera kertas") merupakan yōkai dalam cerita rakyat Jepang dari chōchin (sejenis lentera). Mereka juga bisa disebut sebagai chōchin, bake-chōchin, obake-chōchin, dan chōchin-kozō.[1][2]

Chōchin-obake muncul dalam permainan kartu kusazōshi, omocha-e, dan karuta seperti obake karuta yang muncul pada zaman Edo hingga awal abad ke-20, serta dalam mainan Meiji dan Taishō, buku anak-anak, dan atraksi rumah hantu.

Menurut legenda, chōchin yang sudah usang dan tidak terpakai, bagian tengahnya akan membelah dan membentuk seperti mulut. Mereka memiliki sepasang bola mata, dan terkadang menumbuhkan wajah, tangan, tubuh, serta sayap. chōchin yang terdapat dalam buku Gazu Hyakki Tsurezure Bukuro karya Toriyama Sekien digambarkan digambarkan memiliki bentuk seperti lentera yang disebut "bura-bura".
