Budi Rahayu

Budi Rahayu adalah salah satu organisasi aliran kepercayaan yang berkembang di Indonesia. Wadah ini berdiri tanggal 29 Oktober 1981 atau bertepatan 1 Sura 1914 ( penanggalan jawa ). Pendiri organisasi ini antara lain Natasukardjo, Sapto Pawiro, Pardjatani, dan Admodiharjo yang selanjutnya dikenal dengan dengan nama Catur Tunggal

Tujuan

Tujuan dari organisasi Budi Rahayu sesuai dengan namanya, yaitu Budi yang artinya usaha atau kepribadian, dan Rahayu yang artinya berusaha untuk membentuk kepribadian yang luhur agar selamat. Jadi secara umum organisasi ini mempunyai maksud membentuk kepribadian yang luhur untuk mencapai keselamatan hidup. Untuk mencapai tujuannya, Budi Rahayu menekankan pada pengikutnya ajaran Nowo Broto yang berisi laku songo atau 9 pakarti tentang larangan dan anjuran yang harus dilakukan manusia untuk mencapai keselamatan hidup.

Nowo Broto

Ajaran Nowo Broto Budi Rahayu mencakup ajaran tentang Tuhan yang berhubungan dengan diri pribadi, sesama, dan alam semesta. Terhadap Tuhan YME, pengikut Budi Rahayu diminta harus cinta dan bertaqwa terhadap Tuhan YME sebagai sumber kebenaran. Dengan diri pribadi menekankan untuk selalu mawas diri terhadap perilakunya, sudah benar atau tidak sesuai hati sanubarinya. Adapun yang berkaitan dengan alam, pengikut Budi Rahayu agar menjadi manusia yang berbudi luhur dan senantiasa menjaga kelestarian alam.[1]
