聖查爾斯县（英語：Saint Charles County）是美国密蘇里州東部的一個郡，東隔密西西比河與伊利诺伊州相望，南界密蘇里州 （兩河在縣的東端匯合），面積1,534平方公里。根據2020年美國人口普查，共有人口40萬5,262人。縣治聖查爾斯（Saint Charles）。該縣成立於1812年10月1日，縣名源於西班牙時代的區名（縣名可能紀念米蘭大主教聖嘉祿·伯羅敏、西班牙的卡洛斯四世或法國的查理五世）。[1]

圣查尔斯县是密蘇里—伊利諾圣路易斯大都会统计区（英语：Greater St. Louis）的一部分，包含该市的许多西北郊区。它是密苏里州最富有的县[2] 也是美国发展最快的县之一 。

圣查尔斯县包括奧古斯塔葡萄種植區（英语：Augusta AVA）的一部分，这片葡萄园和酿酒厂区于1980年被联邦政府指定为美国第一个葡萄栽培区。[3]该县农村外缘沿密苏里河上方朝南的悬崖，也是更广阔的密蘇里萊因蘭（英语：Missouri Rhineland）的一部分。

历史

圣查尔斯县最初称为圣查尔斯区，直到1816年至1818年邻近县成立时才具有明确的界限。今天圣查尔斯的边界和1818年一样。[4]

地理

根据美国人口普查局数据，该县总面积为593平方英里（1,540平方公里），其中560平方英里（1,500平方公里）为陆地，32平方英里（83平方公里）（5.4%）为水域. [5]

最高海拔位于奥古斯塔西北处，靠近Femme Osage Creek源头。海拔901英尺（275米）[6]
