1954年國際足協世界盃外圍賽，共產生 16 個出線名額，參加1954年國際足協世界盃。主辦國瑞士與衛冕冠軍烏拉圭直接取得決賽周的參賽資格

進行方式

13組分為以下不同的進行方式：

  • 第一組、第二組、第四組、第八組、第十組，各有三支球隊，相互對戰之後，優勝者將晉級。
  • 第三組，有四支球隊，相互對戰之後，第一名與第二名將取得晉級。
  • 第五組、第六組、第七組、第九組，各有兩支球隊，相互對戰之後，優勝者將取得晉級。
  • 第十一組，有四支球隊，相互對戰之後，優勝者將取得晉級。
  • 第十二組，有三支球隊，相互對戰之後，優勝者將取得晉級。
  • 第十三組，有三支球隊，因台灣退出比賽，使得只剩兩支球隊，相互對戰之後，優勝者將取得晉級。
