Jose Pedro Balmaceda Pascal veya bilinen adıyla Pedro Pascal (d. 2 Nisan 1975), Şili asıllı Amerikalı oyuncudur. Game Of Thrones adlı dizide Oberyn Martell'i, Netflix yapımı Narcos dizisinde Javier Peña, Disney+ dizisi The Mandalorian'da Mandalorian (Din Djarin)'ı ve bir oyun uyarlaması olan, HBO dizisi The Last of Us'ta ise Joel karakterini canlandırdı.

Pascal ayrıca televizyon dizileri dışında, Kader Ajanları (2011), Çin Seddi (2016), Kingsman: Altın Çember (2017), The Equalizer 2 (2018), Triple Frontier (2019), Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), Yetenekli Bay Cage (2022) filmlerinde de rol aldı.

2015 yılında şarkıcı Sia'nın Fire Meet Gasoline adlı şarkısının klibinde, Heidi Klum ile birlikte rol aldı.[1]

İlk yılları

José Pedro Balmaceda Pascal, çocuk psikoloğu Verónica Pascal Ureta ve doğum kliniğinde doktorluk yapan José Balmaceda Riera'nın oğlu olarak 2 Nisan 1975'te Şili'nin başkenti Santiago'da dünyaya geldi.[2] Javiera adında bir ablası, Nicolás adında küçük bir erkek kardeşi ve aktris ve transseksüel aktivist olan Lux adında küçük bir kız kardeşi vardır.[3] Annesi, sosyalist Şili Devlet Başkanı Salvador Allende'nin yeğeni Andrés Pascal Allende ile kuzendi. Andrés, Augusto Pinochet'nin askeri diktatörlüğünü devirmeye adanmış bir şehir gerillası hareketi olan, Devrimci Sol Hareket'in ilk liderlerinden biriydi.[4]

Pascal'a göre, ailesi Allende'nin radikal bir takipçileriydi ve Pinochet diktatörlüğüne karşı direniş gruplarında aktifti. Pascal, hem İngilizce hem de İspanyolca bilmektedir. 1993'ten beri New York'ta yaşayan Pascal,  Amerikalı aktris Sarah Paulson  ve Guatemalalı-Amerikalı aktör Oscar Isaac ile yakın arkadaştır.[7]

Pascal, LGBTQ+ haklarının açık bir savunucusudur.[8]  Kız kardeşi Lux Pascal'ın transseksüel olduğunu açıkladığında onu desteklemiştir.[9]

Pascal kendisini agnostik ve liberal olarak tanımlıyor.  Ayrıca 2021 Şili cumhurbaşkanlığı seçimlerinde sosyalist aday Gabriel Boric'i destekledi.[10]
