NGC 6616, Yeni Genel Katalog'da yer alan bir galaksidir. Gökyüzünde Herkül takımyıldızı yönünde bulunur. Sab tipi bir sarmal galaksidir. Amerikan astronom Lewis A. Swift tarafından 1885 yılında 40,64 cm (16 inç) çaplı mercekli tip bir teleskopla keşfedilmiştir.[4]
