Goku

Son Goku (Son Gokū (孫悟空) (/ˈɡoʊ.kuː, ɡoʊˈkuː/), Akira Toriyama tarafından yaratılan Dragon Ball manga serisinin kurgusal bir karakteri ve protagonistidir. Sun Wukong'a (Japonya'da Son Goku ve Batı'da Maymun Kral olarak bilinir), klasik Çin romanı Batı'ya Yolculuk (16. yüzyıl) ana karakterine, dayanan Goku, Jackie Chan ve Bruce Lee'nin Hong Kong dövüş sanatları filmlerinden etkilerle birleştirilmiştir.[1] Goku, ilk kez 3 Aralık 1984'te Japonya'nın Weekly Shōnen Jump dergisinde yayımlanan ilk Dragon Ball bölümü "Bulma ve Son Goku"da ortaya çıktı. Dövüş sanatları yapan ve insanüstü güce sahip eksantrik, maymun kuyruklu bir çocuk olarak takdim edildi. Bulma ile tanışır ve yedi dileği gerçekleştiren ejder toplarını bulmak için bir yolculuğa çıkar. Yol boyunca, daha güçlü bir dövüşçü olma yolculuğunda onu takip eden yeni arkadaşlar edinir. Goku büyüdükçe dünyanın en güçlü savaşçısı olur ve arkadaşları ile ailesinin yardımıyla çok çeşitli kötülerle savaşırken aynı zamanda bu süreçte yeni müttefikler kazanır.

Kakarot (Kakarotto (カカロット)) adıyla Vegeta gezegeninde Saiyan ırkının bir üyesi olarak doğar ve ana dünyasının Frieza'nın ellerinde yok edilmesinden önce bebekken Dünya'ya gönderilir. Dünya'ya vardığında bebek, çocuğun üvey dedesi olan ve ona Goku adını veren Son Gohan tarafından bulunur. Çocuk, Saiyan doğası nedeniyle başlangıçta şiddet ve saldırganlıkla doludur fakat kazara bir kafa travması onu neşeli, kaygısız bir kişiye dönüştürür. Büyükbaba Gohan'ın nezaketi ve öğretileri Goku'yu daha fazla etkiler.
