Мисс Америка (англ. Miss America) — позывной нескольких вымышленных героинь, появлявшихся в американских комиксах[англ.] издательства Marvel Comics. Обе героини находятся в общей вселенной Marvel.

Мэдлин Джойс

Мэдлин Джойс — первая героиня комиксов, ставшая Мисс Америкой, создана писателем Отто Биндером и художником Аль Габриэле[англ.][1]. Мэдлин Джойс впервые появилась в ноябре 1943 года в серии комиксов «Marvel Mystery Comics[англ.]» №49 издательства Timely Comics, предшественника Marvel Comics[2]. Создание героини связано с постепенным выходом супергероев из моды в конце Второй мировой войны и желанием издательств исследовать новые типы персонажей и привлечь новую аудиторию[3]. Мэдлин Джойс стала третьей супергероиней комиксов, получившей свою собственную сольную серию после Чудо-женщины и Шины, Королевы джунглей[англ.][4]. Она была членом команды супергероев Timely «Команда всех победителей», сражаясь бок о бок с Капитаном Америкой и Баки, оригинальным Человеком-факелом и Торо[англ.], Подводником и Волчком[англ.].

Америка Чавес

Америка Чавес — вторая героиня комиксов, взявшая псевдоним Мисс Америка, была создана Джо Кейси[англ.] и Ником Драготтой[5]. Америка Чавес впервые появилась в сентябре 2011 года в комиксе «Месть» №1[6], а затем присоединилась к Юным Мстителям и в 2017 году получила собственную сольную серию комиксов «Америка» под авторством Габби Риверы[англ.]. Будучи лесбиянкой, Чавес стала первым ЛГБТ-персонажем Marvel латиноамериканского происхождения, получившим сольный комикс[7][8].
