Профессиональная хоккейная лига 2012/13 — второй розыгрыш Профессиональной хоккейной лиги. В чемпионате принимает участие 7 команд. Регулярный чемпионат стартовал 11 сентября 2012 года и закончился 20 февраля 2013 года.

Регламент

Согласно регламенту соревнований, чемпионат будет проходить в три этапа. На первом из них команды сыграют шестикруговой турнир, по итогам которого определится шесть участников следующей стадии. Далее клубы образуют две группы по три команды в каждой. В одной из них сыграют команды, которые заняли первое, четвертое и пятое места на первом этапе соревнований; во второй группе - вторая, третья и шестая команды. Каждый коллектив проведет по две встречи (по одной дома и на выезде) с двумя другими участниками своей группы. Команды, занявшие третье место в своих группах, прекращают борьбу в чемпионате. Остальные четыре участника сформируют полуфинальные пары последнего этапа соревнований, игр на вылет (плей-офф).

На полуфинальной стадии плей-офф, команды сыграют в сериях до трех побед. В финале судьба обладателя главного трофея соревнований определится в серии до четырех побед одной из команд.

В нынешнем сезоне в чемпионат возвращается матч за третье место. Так, команды, которые проигрывают свои полуфиналы, в короткой серии поединков до двух побед определят обладателя бронзовых наград.[1].

Состав участников

Произошли существенные изменения в числе участников чемпионата Профессиональной хоккейной лиги. Так, в нынешнем сезоне не будут участвовать винницкие «Гайдамаки», поскольку не смогли предоставить никаких финансовых гарантий. [2].

Город Харьков в турнире будет представлять команда Динамо, не будет в ПХЛ харьковских Акул.

Наконец клуб Белый Барс меняет прописку, и с 2012 года представляет город Белая Церковь. Но провести первый поединок на новом месте команда сможет не раньше 18 декабря 2012 года, когда будет завершено строительство ледовой арены.

Поэтому, во втором сезоне ПХЛ за главный трофей поборются лишь семь клубов:

Регулярное первенство стартовала 11 сентября 2012 матчем между финалистами предыдущего сезона ПХЛ. Продлится эта стадия соревнований до 20 февраля 2013 года. Всего на первом этапе будет сыграно 126 матчей.
