Płyta rezonansowa – rezonator[1] w instrumentach muzycznych z grupy chordofonów; część pudła rezonansowego, której zadaniem jest wzmacnianie natężenia dźwięku strun[2][3]. Wykonywana jest z drewna[4] lub – w instrumentach ludowych (np. rabaab)[5] – ze skóry[4]. W chordofonach szarpanych (np. gitara[6], lutnia[7]) oraz klawiszowych (np. klawikord[8], fortepian[9]) jest płaska, w smyczkowych (np. mazanki[10], skrzypce[11]) – wypukła. Drewniane płyty rezonansowe wykonane są zazwyczaj z miękkiego drewna świerkowego i sosnowego[5].

Wzmocnienie natężenia dźwięku instrumentu uzyskane jest poprzez wykorzystanie zjawiska rezonansu akustycznego. Struny mają niewielką powierzchnię wypromieniowującą dźwięk. Płyta rezonansowa, za pośrednictwem podstawka, przejmuje drgania mechaniczne strun i emituje je w postaci fal akustycznych do powietrza[12], modyfikując jednocześnie barwę dźwięku[1], redukując wyższe składowe harmoniczne i wzmacniając niższe[13].

Płyta rezonansowa chińskiego instrumentu guqin ma symboliczne znaczenie nieba[14].
