Raquel Rastenni på Commons

Raquel Rastenni, født Anna Rachel Rastén, (født 21. august 1915, død 17. august 1998) var en populær dansk slagersanger av jødisk herkomst.[2] Hun debuterte i 1938 og slo senere gjennom som krigsflyktning i Sverige. Etter krigen fikk hun suksess i hele Skandinavia og gjorde flere hundre plateinnspillinger. Blant innspillingene var danske versjoner av norske sanger av blant andre Alf Prøysen, Vidar Sandbeck og Arne Paasche Aasen.[3]

Bakgrunn

Hennes bestselgende plateinnspilling var «Hele ugen alene» (1953) som solgte over 120 000 eksemplarer. Hun var den første danske artisten som mottok gullplate for én million solgte grammofonplater.

I 1958 vant Dansk Melodi Grand Prix med låten «Jeg rev et blad ud af min dagbog». Hun representerte deretter Danmark i Eurovision Song Contest 1958, der hun endte på en åttendeplass av ti deltakere.

Hun deltok ytterligere to ganger i Dansk Melodi Grand Prix: I 1961, i duett med Grethe Sønck og sangen «Hjemme hos os»; og i 1964 med sangen «Vi taler samme sprog».

Sangen «Heksedans (her kommer mutter med kost og spand)» sunget av Rastenni, er tatt opp i den danske kulturkanonen.[4]
