Fosenhallen på Commons

Fosenhallen er en idrettshall i Bjugn i Trøndelag. Hallen er en flerbrukshall for hurtigløp på skøyter med 400-meters bane, ishockey, curling og ballidretter.

Fosenhallen ble åpnet den 14. september 2007 som Norges andre innendørsbane for hurtigløp på skøyter – etter Vikingskipet på Hamar. Det første større stevnet som ble arrangert i hallen, var allround-NM på skøyter 2008. Første dag av dette mesterskapet var det rundt 1 500 tilskuere til stede i hallen.[1]

Skøyteanlegget er en del av fjernvarmeanlegget i Botngård; ved at isanlegget er en del av den kalde siden i et varmepumpeanlegg, noe som gjør at driften av kunstisanlegget er billig.[2] Luften i hurtigløpshallen blir ikke varmet opp, noe som gjør at det ikke er mulig å lage rekordforhold i denne hallen på samme måte som i for eksempel Vikingskipet.

I Fosenhallen ble det i perioden 2007–2013 arrangert:

  • 1 ISU Junior World Cup i 2011 - 120 løpere fra 18 land

Våren 2014 ble ISU Junior World Cup Finale arrangert (1.–2. mars) og ISU Junior Verdensmesterskap på skøyter (7.–9. mars).
