Bressay Sound på Commons

Bressay Sound er et sund som skiller Shetlands hovedøy, Mainland, og Bressay. Sundet forbinder Lerwick havn med Nordsjøen, og det krysses av et fergesamband mellom Lerwick på Mainland og Maryfield på Bressay.[1] Sundet har blitt benyttet som en nødhavn for skip, også lenge før Lerwick ble grunnlagt i det 17. århundre.[2]
