Taburan

H. thurjii boleh dijumpai di utara India, Pakistan, dan Bangladesh di lembangan saliran sungai Ganges, sungai Brahmaputra, dan Sungai Indus.

Ciri-ciri

H. thurjii mempunyai cangkerang karapas yang besar, lebih rata, bercoklat kehitaman, manakala plastronnya berwarna kuning.^[2] Panjang karapasnya adalah 18 inci (460 mm) bagi betina dan lebih pendek pada jantan.^[3]
