Vladas Čekauskas

Vladas Čekauskas (1897 m. balandžio 22 d. Paršelių kaime, Paežerių valsčiuje, Vilkaviškio apskrityje – 1943 m. spalio 27 d. Štuthofe, Vokietijoje) – Lietuvos kariuomenės karininkas, antinacinio pasipriešinimo dalyvis.

Biografija

1917 m. baigė Veiverių mokytojų seminariją. Nuo 1919 m. kovo mėn. pradėjo tarnybą Lietuvos kariuomenėje. 1930 m. kapitonas.

Sovietiniams okupantams likviduojant Lietuvos kariuomenę 1940 m. rugsėjo paskirtas Raudonosios armijos šaulių pulko chemijos tarnybos viršininku. Kilus TSRS–Vokietijos karui 1941 m. birželio mėn. iš Raudonosios armijos pasitraukė. 1941 m. vasarą dirbo Lietuvos Laikinosios Vyriausybės Policijos departamento ūkio skyriaus viršininku.

Už antinacinę veiklą 1943 m. balandžio mėn. gestapo suimtas ir išvežtas į Štuthofo koncentracijos stovyklą,[1] Susirgęs flegmona pateko į „ligoninę“. Ten sanitarais dirbantys lenkai, sužinoję, kad jis Lietuvos karininkas, jį užmušė.[2]
