„Die Welt“ – dienraštis, leidžiamas Berlyne, Vokietijoje.[1] Laikraščio leidėjas – „Axel Springer SE“. Laikomas vienu iš įtakingiausių Vokietijos dienraščiu.

Istorija

„Die Welt“ 1946[2] m. Hamburge įsteigė britų okupacinės pajėgos, siekdamos teikti „kokybiškas naujienas“ laikraščio „The Times“ pagrindu. Pradžioje laikraštyje buvo nušviečiamos naujienos britų redakciniu požiūriu, bet nuo 1947 m. pradėta rengti straipsnius britų ir vokiečių temomis. Laikraščio tiražas geriausiais laikais, okupacijos laikotarpiu, siekė apie 1 milijoną egzempliorių.[3]

Draudimai

Dėl laikraštyje publikuotų karikatūrų, vaizduojančių pranašą Mahometą, 2008 m. vasarį laikraštį buvo uždrausta platinti Egipte.[4][5]

Welt literatūrinė premija

Nuo 1999 m. laikraščio priedo Die Literarische Welt teikiama kasmetinė 10 000 € literatūrinė premija tarptautiniams rašytojams. Šis apdovanojimas įsteigtas, siekiant pagerbti Willy Haas, 1925 m. įsteigusį Die Literarische Welt.
