오마정(일본어: 大間町)은 일본 시모키타군의 정이다.

시모키타반도의 끝에 위치하고 혼슈 최북단의 시정촌이다. 쓰가루 해협에 접하고 날씨가 좋은 날에는 대안의 홋카이도를 바라볼 수가 있다. 오마 참치는 음식의 브랜드로서 인기가 높다.

지리

시모키타반도 서북단에 있어 혼슈 최북단에 위치하는 정이다. 북단의 오마 곶은 쓰가루 해협에 접해 오마 곶 등대가 설치되어 있고 쓰가루 해협 대안의 홋카이도 시오쿠비미 곶(하코다테시)까지는 약 20km 밖에 떨어져 있지 않다. 태평양으로부터의 일출, 동해로의 일몰이 보인다

역사

  • 1889년 4월 : 정촌제 시행으로 오마촌, 오쿠도촌의 합병에 의해 오오쿠촌이 되었다.
  • 1942년 11월 3일 : 정으로 승격, 오마정으로 개칭하였다.
