ალექსი პეტრეს ძე პავლოვი (რუს. Павлов, Алексей Петрович; დ. 1 დეკემბერი [ძვ. სტ. 19 ნოემბერი], 1854 , მოსკოვი — გ. 9 სექტემბერი, 1929, ბად-ტელცი, გერმანია) — რუსი გეოლოგი და პალეონტოლოგი. სსრკ მეცნიერებათა აკადემიის აკადემიკოსი (1919).

ბიოგრაფია

1879 წელს დაამთავრა მოსკოვის უნივერსიტეტი. 1884 წელს დაიცვა სამაგისტრო დისერტაცია, ხოლო 1886 წელს სადოქტორო დისერტაცია თემაზე „Aspidoceras acanthicum-ის ზონის ამონიტები“.

1886 წლიდან იყო მოსკოვის უნივერსიტეტის პროფესორი. აღსანიშნავია, რომ ალექსი პავლოვის მეუღლე მარია პავლოვა ასევე ცნობილი რუსი პალეონტოლოგი იყო.

ალექსი პავლოვის ძირითადი შრომები განეკუთვნება რუსეთის ევროპული ნაწილის სტრატიგრაფიის, ტექტონიკის, პალეონტოლოგიის, მეოთხეული გეოლოგიისა და გეოლოგიის მეცნიერების ისტორიის საკითხებს. ფართოდ მუშაობდა აგრეთვე გეომორფოლოგიის დარგში. იგი რუსეთში გეომორფოლოგიის ერთ-ერთი ფუძემდებელია. ავტორია რიგი ნაშრომებისა, რომელიც მიეძღვნა ვაკე-დაბლობების რელიეფის წარმოშობის საკითხებს. პავლოვმა გამოყო კონტინენტური ნალექების ორი ახალი ტიპი: დელუვიონი და პროლუვიონი. გეოლოგთა მნიშვნელოვანი სკოლა შექმნა. მნიშვნელოვანი წვლილი მიუძღვის ასევე გეოლოგთა აღზრდის საქმეში. მის მოწაფეთაგან იყვნენ შემდგომში ცნობილი გეოლოგები: ანდრია არხანგელსკი, მიხეილ პრიგოროვსკი, ოქტავიუს ლანგე და მრავალი სხვა. დაკრძალულია მოსკოვში.

იყო ლონდონის გეოლოგიური საზოგადოებისა და საფრანგეთის გეოლოგიური საზოგადოების წევრი; მინიჭებული აქვს ფრანგი პალეონტოლოგის ალბერ გოდრის სახელობის ოქროს მედალი.
