ニュージャージー・ターンパイク管理局が1971年にドリスコル・イクスプレスウェイを建設することを提案した。これは庭園道路出口80号から、サウスブランズウィック・タウンシップのニュージャージー・ターンパイク出口8Aの北3マイル (5 km) で終わるものだった。この計画は1980年に中止になった[108]。
