Ty Hamilton (Pickerington, 15 aprile 2002) è un giocatore di football americano statunitense che milita nel ruolo di nose tackle per i Los Angeles Rams della National Football League (NFL).

Carriera universitaria

Al college Hamilton giocò a football a Ohio State dal 2020 al 2024. Nella sua prima stagione disputò due partite contro Nebraska e Rutgers senza fare registrare alcuna statistica.[1] Trovò più spazio nel 2021, mettendo a segno 13 tackle, 2 sack, un passaggio deviato e un fumble recuperato.[2] Nel decimo turno della stagione 2022 disputò la prima gara come titolare contro Northwestern dove fece registrare 3 placcaggi.[3] Chiuse l'annata con 19 tackle, 0,5 sack e un passaggio deviato.[4] Nel 2023 fu nominato menzione onorevole nella formazione ideale della Big Ten Conference.[5] Nell'ultima annata stabilì i record personali in placcaggi (40), sack (2.5) e fumble forzati (1), vincendo il campionato nazionale nella finale contro Notre Dame.[6]

Carriera professionistica

Los Angeles Rams

Hamilton fu scelto nel corso del quinto giro (148º assoluto) del Draft NFL 2025 dai Los Angeles Rams.[7] Debuttò come professionista subentrando nella gara del secondo turno contro i Tennessee Titans mettendo a segno 2 placcaggi. La sua prima stagione si chiuse con 11 tackle in 14 presenze, nessuna delle quali come titolare.

Vita privata

Hamilton è il fratello minore del defensive lineman dei Jacksonville Jaguars DaVon Hamilton.[8]
