NGC 3092 è una galassia lenticolare vista di taglio e situata nella costellazione del Sestante, a una distanza di circa 302 milioni di anni luce dalla nostra Via Lattea.[1]
Scoperta
La galassia è stata scoperta il 22 gennaio 1865 dall'astronomo tedesco Albert Marth.[1]
Descrizione
Nelle immagini riprese nel corso dell'indagine astronomica Sloan Digital Sky Survey, nella stessa area di cielo sono visibili anche le galassie NGC 3090 e NGC 3093.
