Il Gruppo di NGC 1399 comprende almeno 42 galassie situate nella costellazione della Fornace e dell'Eridano.^[2]

La distanza media tra il centro di massa di questo gruppo e la nostra Via Lattea è di circa 60 milioni di anni luce (18,3 Mpc).^[2]
