Elijah Stowers, detto Eli (Denton, 15 aprile 2003), è un giocatore di football americano statunitense che milita nel ruolo di tight end per i Philadelphia Eagles della National Football League (NFL).
Carriera universitaria
Eli Stowers è nato e cresciuto a Denton, Texas.[1] Cominciò a giocare a football nella locale John H. Guyer High School nel ruolo di quarterback.
Texas A&M
Nel 2021 Stowers scelse di iscriversi alla Texas A&M University per giocare a football nella NCAA.[2][3] Stowers giocò con gli Aggies dal 2021 al 2022 come quarterback di riserva.
New Mexico State
All inizio della stagione 2023 si trasferì alla New Mexico State University, dove giocò come quarterback e tight end. In 15 partite fece registrare 366 yard ricevute e 2 touchdown, insieme a 108 yard e 2 touchdown su corsa e un touchdown su passaggio.[4]
Vanderbilt
Nel 2024 Stowers si trasferì ancora, questa volta per giocare con i Vanderbilt Commodores.[5] Alla fine della stagione fece registrare 638 yard e 5 touchdown in 13 presenze, di cui cinque come titolare. Al termine della stagione 2025, per le sue prestazioni, Stowers vinse il John Mackey Award come miglior tight end della nazione.[6]
Carriera professionistica
Philadelphia Eagles
Stowers venne selezionato dai Philadelphia Eagles nel corso del secondo giro (54º assoluto) del Draft NFL 2026.[7]
