La contea di Ector (in inglese Ector County) è una contea dello Stato del Texas, negli Stati Uniti. La popolazione al censimento del 2010 era di 137 130 abitanti.[2] Il capoluogo di contea è Odessa.[3] La contea è stata fondata nel 1887 ed organizzata nel 1891.[4] Il suo nome deriva da Matthew Ector,[5] un generale confederato della guerra di secessione americana.

La maggior parte della contea è relativamente pianeggiante. Gli alberi sono pochi, e la maggior parte sono di mesquite, simili a cespugli.
