You should go ahead with the merge on Herodium. There's no point waiting for more votes. Also, you shouldn't delete your old talk pages - it would be advisable to restore what you have deleted. Another bullshit editing job Tewfik. French Hill is not "sometimes considered" a settlement, it's always considered a settlement except by the government of Israel. Your editing is not even handed, it's biased to reflect the Israeli position, not that general consensus. Wiki standard is verifiability and I provided it for every factual statement, including international opinion on the status of French Hill, using Israeli sources in almost every case and using reputable sources in all other cases. Didn't you commend me for moving the article to Efrata just the other month? Anyway, Efrata is an official and correct spelling and therefore does not violate and Wikipedia policies. Neither would Efrat, although I think it's preferrable to have an article of a city name than city name, Israel or city name (municipality), because readers would search for it that way. I also just noticed that you moved Efrat to Efrat (disambiguation). Just for the record, a Google search here is useless because Efrat is a fairly common personal and Biblical name and out of the first 10 Google results that I inspected, only 3 actually referred to the town Efrat. The article is about biodiversity in the whole region of Israel/Palestine. It is not a NPOV to call it only israel. This is not a political article. Lets not bring politics in it.

Thank you for your reply. I did not assume that you did it, but I was asking. Sorry if I seemed accusing you.

The idea is that the article in question is far away from politics. So I was sensitive that any one may bring the Israeli-Palestinian hot debates to an article about nature. I think nature is the only remaining issue that may unite the Holyland inhabitants.

How can we know who changed the tetle to Biodiversity in Israel. can you help me in this?

The term "my collection" sounds like I'm Teddy Kolik or something :). i'm not. I just asked my friends in the village Fandaqomiyah to give me any coin they find. so I collected like 100 coins. some are clear some are not. I got most of them IDed through a great online forum www.forumancientcoins.com, They have an ID help there. Small the collection is, it rather gave me good insights into my village past. specially that my village was never investigated archaeologically.

I also had collected a small group of oil lamps found in the village.

You are right. This is a painful fact about things here in Palestine. One of the sad things is that due to conflict and no-government situation, our history is lost. Homes are being built on archaeological sites and tomb thieves steal artifacts. Sad.

Dear Tewfik, What is your problem with the Noor Leghari profile?....how come you are so sure about everything you say about this particular scenario...were you there?....are you just going on what Noor Leghari would like the world to believe?.. tell me I am curious... as for me I am sure because everything I have seen and believe is based on fact... why are you so adament?....why will you not give this poor sole a chance to put his point of view...why are you so animated about the whole thing?...are you a relative or someone who is directly concerned with this matter?

dramirezg .- Dear Tewfik; I am not sure what you refer to as "proper sources." The problem is that there are no proper sources, as most sources available do not know the origin of the word "Marrano," and use it carelessly without having second thoughts about it. As a Sefaradi I know this tradition orally, and I know that the word "Marrano" was not used in a Jewish enviroment until the 19th c. Go to the Inquisition records, the word "Marrano" does not appear. Go to Sefaradi literature from the 14th to the 19th c., the word "Marrano" does not appear. dramirezg.- Dear Tewfik; I need your help how to incorporate the sources. Since all the material is rabbinic responsa, much of it contained in rare centuries-old books, how does one incorporate those as sources. I can quote the Rabbi, the paragraph and the book where it was published. But do "proper sources" need to be those which are easily availble to the public with current editions? Or that would suffice. Can they include extant books?

Also, I can place titles of Sefardic works from the 16th to the 18th c., but also these are extant. The only book that is not extant is one about direct Inquisition documents, unencumbered by translations. Thank you. --Dramirezg 22:57, 13 July 2006

Thanks for explaining your changes to Magen David Adom. My main interest was in getting the change in status up there. Most of my entries deal with Michiganians, especially Native Americans (I have written several bios) and the odd article here and there... all of in which I am better verse and none of which is very controversial. so I might have gone astray with the tone of something whose tone is a bit subject to controversy in an area that I am not so aware of the tone needed. I am a big fan of the Red Cross Red Crescent though (I am in East Africa currently, where I have worked a bit with them), and wanted to update this change on the most criticized point (aside from the occasional mismanaged financial issue) about the organization of which I was aware. In any case, I noticed that the change in status was posted by someone today anyway.

The abovementioned image is still liable to be deleted. The fair use rationale on the image description page does not address all the 10 points of the fair use policy, especially point 1: No free equivalent is available or could be created that would adequately give the same information. --Kimchi.sg 08:49, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

The point of criteria #1 is: As long as it is possible that you, me or someone else can take a picture of Eldad (since he is still alive, after all), we can't use a fair use photo of him on his article. It doesn't matter there isn't a free photo already; one can still be created. I know you're frustrated with this one, but it's policy and it's not going to be relaxed. :(

I suppose this policy is to encourage people to take their own pictures for Wikipedia to distribute whenever possible, instead of getting copyrighted ones from elsewhere. So you could solve it by taking your own picture of him. If you feel like asking others to take the photo, put the {{reqphoto}} or {{reqphotoin|Israel}} template on the talk page of the article where the photo is. The "more lenient" part of the fair use page describes our policy only in general terms. There might be slight differences whereby other language Wikipedias are more lax in their fair use policy.

Actually, I participated in the discussion. The consensus seems to be that there is opposition to calling it a war. So I proposed renaming the article to 2006 Arab-Israeli Conflict. Noone is denying it is an event, except perhaps you. Hezbollah stated it carried out its raid on Israel in order to aid Hamas in Gaza, and to pull Israel into a two front war. Ironically, there is a lot of press about the two front war Israel is in, found here: [1]. It is clear that everyone considers that what is happening in Gaza and what is happening in Lebanon is part of the same thing. The event is real, the issue of its name is where people are hung up. But this is no reason for you to continually remove it from the article, because regardless of its name, it is a part of it. Its current namespace is 2006 Arab-Israeli War, and that is why we must link to it. If you support a rename like I do, check the bottom of its talk page where I raised the idea. Got your message. I still do not see widespread IP vandalism. Semi-protect needs to be used sparingly. The policy states, "Semi-protection should be considered if it is the only option left available to solve the problem of vandalism of the page, if the amount of vandalism is difficult for editors to keep up with.
