Kingdom (Hangul: 킹덤; RR: Kingdeom), seri televisi Korea Selatan tahun 2019 yang ditulis oleh Kim Eun-hee dan disutradarai oleh Kim Seong-hun.[4][5] Seri televisi ini menjadi seri orisinal Korea Selatan pertama Netflix,[a] yang ditayangkan perdana pada 25 Januari 2019.[6][7]

Seri ini diulas secara positif dan diperbarui untuk musim kedua yang dirilis pada 13 Maret 2020.[8][9][10][11] Sebuah episode spesial dari seri tersebut, berjudul "Kingdom: Ashin of the North", akan dirilis pada tahun 2021 dan akan berfokus pada karakter pendukung Ashin yang diperankan oleh Jun Ji-hyun.[12] Episode ini akan menjadi sempalan dari Kingdom musim kedua dan cerita dibalik karakter misterius yang ditemui kelompok Lee Chang dalam perjalanan mereka ke utara untuk menemukan asal muasal yang terinfeksi.[13]

Sinopsis

Berlatarbelakang pada periode Joseon abad pertengahan, ini menceritakan tentang seorang putra mahkota yang dikirim melalui misi bunuh diri untuk menyelidiki wabah misterius yang menyebar di seluruh negaranya. Kebenaran mengancam kerajaan, saat dia menemukan bahwa ini adalah wabah mengerikan dalam bentuk zombi.[6][14][15]
