יחסי מצרים–קנדה הם יחסי החוץ בין קנדה ומצרים. שתי המדינות הקימו שגרירויות בביירות שלהן בשנת 1954. למרות ששניהם היו חלק מהאימפריה הבריטית, רק קנדה היא חלק מחבר העמים, בעוד מצרים אינה חלק מהארגון.

היסטוריה

קנדה ומצרים כוננו קשרים דיפלומטיים לראשונה בשנת 1954 לאחר המהפכה המצרית בשנת 1952 וביטול המלוכה המצרית, ועלייתו לשלטון של נשיא מצרים גמאל עבד אל נאצר.[1] שתי המדינות נהנו מיחסים טובים, אך לא התבלטו זו בזו עד שקנדה התערבה במשבר סואץ בשנת 1956 כאשר נאצר הלאים את תעלת סואץ ובתגובה נקטו צרפת, בריטניה וישראל בפעולות צבאיות נגד מצרים.[2]

קנדה דחתה את הפעולות שננקטו על ידי צרפת, בריטניה וישראל נגד מצרים ולאחר סיום פעולות האיבה השר הקנדי לענייני חוץ לסטר פירסון הציע לאו"ם להקים כוח החירום של האומות המאוחדות (UNEF), שמשימתו הייתה להיכנס לשטח המצרי ולשמש כחוצץ בין כוחות מצרים לכוחות ישראליים בשטח הכבוש.[3] קנדה התחייבה למספר משמעותי של חיילים למשימת UNEF. ב-16 במאי 1967 הורתה מצרים על כל כוחות האונ"ף לצאת משטח מצרים, ורובם נסוגו לפני תחילת מלחמת ששת הימים.[4]

2010–2012

קנדה מספקת סיוע למצרים. סיוע פיתוח רשמי (ODA) מקנדה למצרים מוערך ב-17 מיליון דולר בשנים 2010–2011. הסיוע הופנה למיקרו-מימון, ועוזר לצמיחה במגזר הפרטי במפעלים קטנים, למימון חניכות, הכשרה ואוריינות.[5]

מהפכת 2013

ממשלת קנדה הייתה בין אלו שהשתמשו במילה "הפיכה"[6] לתיאור הדחתו של הנשיא מוחמד מורסי על ידי הצבא המצרי. אולם בשבועות שלאחר המהפכה, ממשלת קנדה לא דחתה את הלגיטימיות של המשטר החדש ובמקום זאת הוציאה קריאות כלליות לשלום ולדיאלוג ונקטה בגישה של "המתן וראה".[7]
