דראווידה מונטה קזגאם (בטמילית: திராவிட முன்னேற்றக் கழகம்; מילולית: הליגה המתקדמת הדראווידית; ידועה כ-DMK‏ (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam)) היא מפלגה פוליטית טמילית-הודית שמרכזה בטאמיל נאדו, בה נכון לאוקטובר 2024 היא מפלגת השלטון, ובפודוצ'רי.

היסטוריה

דראווידה מונטה קזגאם יונקת את שורשיה ממפלגת הצדק, מפלגה טמילית ואנטי-ברהמינית שהוקמה בנשיאות מדראס ב-1916 והפכה ב-1944 לדראווידר קזגאם. הדראווידר קזגאם פרשה ממערבות פעילה במערכת הפוליטית ההודית עקב תמיכתה במדינה עצמאית דראווינדית, אך מחלוקות פנימיות בין נשיא המפלגה פרייאר לבין מזכיר המפלגה כ. מ. אננאדוראי הביאו לפיצול במפלגה,[1] ובספטמבר 1949 התפצל ממנה פלג בראשות אננאדוראי, שתמך במעורבות פוליטית פעילה והקים את דראווידה מונטה קזגאם.[2]

המפלגה קראה להקמת מדינה דראווידית עצמאית עד למלחמת הודו–סין ב-1962, שגרמה להתעוררות לאומית ברחבי המדינה וגרמה למפלגה לפנות לפעילות פרו-טמילית במדראס וסרי לנקה, לצד התנגדות להפיכת ההינדי לשפת המדינה, בעיקר בדרום הודו.

המפלגה לא הריצה רשימת מועמדים רשמית עד 1962, למרות שמועמדים שונים שהזדהו עמה התמודדו כעצמאיים בבחירות. בבחירות לאספה המחוקקת של מדראס ב-1967 ניצחה המפלגה את הקונגרס הלאומי ההודי והייתה למפלגת השלטון במדראס, כשהיא המפלגה המקומית הראשונה שניצחה בבחירות מדינתיות בהודו. הניצחון נבע יותר מחולשת הקונגרס מאשר תמיכה בזהות טמילית.[3] ממשלת המפלגה שינתה את שם המדינה לטאמיל נאדו ב-1969.

ב-1972 התפצלה המפלגה, כאשר אחד ממנהיגי המפלגה, מ. ג. רמצ'נדראן (אנ') פרש מהמפלגה והקים את אנה דראווידה מונטרה קזגאם הכלל הודית (AIAMDK), שהפכה ליריב הפוליטי העיקרי של המפלגה.

ב-1994 התפצלה מהמפלגה מרמולרצ'י דראווידה מונטרה קזגאם, שהוקמה לאחר שואיקו (אנ') אולץ לפרוש מהמפלגה לאחר שנראה כאיום על מ. ק. סטלין, בנו של מנהיג המפלגה מ. קרוננדי.

ברמה הלאומית המפלגה נדדה בין בריתות עם מפלגת העם ההודית לקונגרס.

מנהיגי המפלגה

עם הקמת המפלגה עמד בראשה כ. מ. אננאדוראי, שכיהן כמזכיר הכללי של המפלגה מספטמבר 1949 עד אפריל 1955 ומספטמבר 1960 עד מותו בפברואר 1969. בין אפריל 1955 וספטמבר 1960 היה ו. ר. נדוצ'זהאיין (אנ') מזכיר המפלגה. לאחר מות אננדוראי מונה מ. קרוננדי לנשיא המפלגה, תפקיד שנוצר אז והועמד בראשות המפלגה. קרוננדי שימש כנשיא המפלגה במשך כ-49 שנים. בינואר 2017, עקב חוליו של קרוננדי מונה בנו, מ. קרוננדי סטלין לנשיא המפלגה בפועל, ולאחר מותו באוגוסט 2018 תפס את מקומו כנשיא המפלגה.[4]
