אמילי ביצ'ם (באנגלית: Emily Beecham; נולדה ב-12 במאי 1984) היא שחקנית אמריקאית ממוצא אנגלי, זוכת פרס השחקנית הטובה ביותר בפסטיבל קאן לשנת 2019 על משחקה בסרט "ג'ו הקטן".

ראשית חייה

ביצ'ם נולדה באזור וית'נשו במנצ'סטר ב-12 במאי 1984, בת לאב אנגלי ואם אמריקאית מאריזונה. אביה הוא טייס בחברת תעופה. יש לה אזרחות בריטית ואמריקאית.[1] בשנת 2003, בגיל 18, נרשמה ללאקדמיה למוזיקה ואמנות דרמטית בלונדון (LAMDA) וסיימה תואר ראשון בשנת 2006.

קריירה

בשנה האחרונה שלה ב-LAMDA, ביצ'ם החלה לקבל תפקידי משחק, כאשר הופעותיה הראשונות היו במותחן "Bon Voyage" ובסדרת הטלוויזיה "Afterlife". סרטה העלילתי הראשון, "Bon Voyage", זיכה אותה בפרס נימפת הזהב בפסטיבל הטלוויזיה של "מונטה קרלו" ביוני 2007.

באמצע 2007 היא נבחרה על ידי הבמאית ג'אן דאן לתפקיד הראשי בסרט העצמאי שלה "The Calling", עליו זכתה בפרס השחקנית הטובה ביותר בפסטיבל הקולנוע העצמאי בלונדון. היא זכתה בפרס טרייל בלייזר של פסטיבל אדינבורו.[2] באותה שנה שיחקה לראשונה בתיאטרון במחזה הראשון של איאן מק'הוג, "איך לקלל", בתיאטרון בוש בשפרד'ס בוש, לונדון, בבימויו של המנהל האמנותי של התיאטרון ג'וזי רורק.

בשנת 2011 היא קיבלה את פרס השחקנית הטובה ביותר בפסטיבל הקולנוע העצמאי בלונדון.[3]

ביצ'ם הופיעה בסדרות טלוויזיה רבות בין היתר השתתפה בסדרות "טס לבית דרבוויל" ו"הרחוב".[4]

בשנת 2013, ביצ'ם כיכבה בתפקיד קארו אלינגהם בסדרת הטלוויזיה הבריטית "הכפר". היא כיכבה בתפקיד האלמנה בסדרת הדרמה "אדמת הפקר". בשנת 2016 היה לה תפקיד משנה בסרטם של האחים כהן, "יחי הקיסר!". שנה לאחר מכן שיחקה בתפקיד הראשי בסרט "דפני". תפקיד זה זיכה אותה במועמדות לפרס השחקנית הטובה ביותר בטקס פרסי הקולנוע הבריטי העצמאי[5]

בשנת 2019 שיחקה בסרט "ג'ו הקטן", עליו קיבלה את פרס השחקנית הטובה ביותר בפסטיבל הקולנוע בקאן.[6]
